The project had the following objectives:

1. Improving and enriching the Text-to-Speech Synthesis System for Greek, based on the formant technique developed at ILSP / R.C. "Athena".
    
2. Creating a Text-to-Speech Synthesis System for Greek, based on time-domain techniques.
    
3. Creating an Email Recognition System, using the Speech Synthesizer of the highest quality from the projects above. The system aimed to constitute the basis of the equivalent pilot service that would be available to the customers of PANAFON mobile phone services.
