Katerina El Raheb

Katerina El Raheb is a senior researcher and a PhD Candidate in University of Athens at the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications. She joined MADgIK (Management of data, information and knowledge) research group since 2009 and worked for several EU projects related to tangible and intangible cultural heritage. Her main interests as a researcher are movement representation, search, and analysis, knowledge representation, ontologies, conceptual modeling, digital libraries and annotation, intangible cultural heritage and dance digital applications, movement based and embodied interactions, human computer interaction, movement in AR/VR, user-centered and participatory design. She has a two-year experience in working with a multinational company as Information System consultant for industrial software (2003-2005). She holds a MSc. in Advanced Information Systems from the University of Athens, a BSc. in Ch. Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and a Diploma from N. Kontaxaki Higher Professional Dance School.
