CV Data

Eirini Chioti is a graduate of the Department of History and Archeology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with specialization in Archeology. She continued her postgraduate studies in the same department from which she received a master’s degree (MA) and a PhD in Classical Archeology. She is also holder of the Postgraduate Diploma of Specialization "Theology and Culture" of the Department of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has worked in excavations and digitization programs of archaeological material and works of art. During the years 2015-2018 she worked as Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of History and Archeology of the University of Ioannina where she taught classical archeology courses such as "Pottery – Vase-Painting - Painting of the Archaic Period", "Metalworking", "Geometric and Archaic Art". She works at the Cultural Heritage Department of the Athena Research Center for the AtticPOT project for the study of Attic pottery in ancient Thrace. Her scientific interests are: sculpture of the Hellenistic and Roman period with emphasis on portraits, the world and culture of late antiquity, metal vessels, intercultural relations between Athenians and Thracians and Kerch vases.
