| Abstract: | This paper focuses on design and implementation of deaf accessibility tools currently integrated in a portal environment intended to serve communication of disabled citizens with the Hellenic State. Deaf accessibility is supported by a sign language terminology glossary, while interaction with the portal is supported by the use of a virtual finger-spelling and digit keyboard. In order to facilitate overall interaction of users with the portal environment, a manual-like facility has been developed in the form of fully accessible courses, which direct the unfamiliar user and cover all aspects of the portal’s services and use of accessibility tools. |
