Abstract:
The concept of Concealed Weapon and Explosive (CWE) detection by the analysis of the Late Time Response (LTR) of the complex human-explosive object when the illuminating signal is characterised as UWB, has been presented in [1]. The efficiency of detection methods critically depend on the feasibility of real-time detection, along with the detection capability of various CWEs. This paper investigates the detection accuracy via LTR analysis in relation to the scanning time and generalizes the methodology for the detection of the hand-grenade and the revolver handgun. The detection is accomplished via human-CWE LTR analysis in order to retrieve the CWE resonant frequencies.
