The aim of this project has been to create an educational software addressed to Greek pupils of lower secondary education, for teaching Ancient Greek Language, History and Civilization based on a selected number of extracts from the work of the historian Herodotus.

The approach is text-centred with special emphasis on the thematic presentation of information drawn from the areas of archaeology, history, literature, natural sciences, etc. The pupils are given creative assignments which can be accessed via Internet by other schools. The department of Educational Technology carried out the development of the respective software and worked on the collection of relevant material and its incorporation into databases. Furthermore, the department was engaged in the implementation of the software to a private school in Athens. ILSP / R.C. "Athena" has been the co-ordinating partner and had the responsibility for the quality control and project management.
