Βιογραφικά στοιχεία

Απόφοιτος της Σχολής Ηλεκτρολόγων Μηχανικών του ΕΜΠ το 1992. Το 1996 πήρε τον τίτλο του Διδάκτορα Μηχανικού από το ΕΜΠ. Το 1989 συμμετείχε στην ομάδα Eurotra στο Ινστιτούτο Επεξεργασίας του Λόγου. Από το 1992 είναι ερευνητής στο ΙΕΛ στο χώρο της γλωσσικής τεχνολογίας και υπεύθυνος συγγραφής, διαχείρισης & υλοποίησης ευρωπαϊκών και εθνικών προγραμμάτων με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στην πολυμεσική, πολυτροπική και πολυγλωσσική ανάλυση (ενδεικτικά ΕUROTRΑ, TRANSLEARN, AVENTINUS, CIMWOS, COST278, MUSE, REVEAL THIS, TV++, COST2102). Έχει παρουσιάσει παραπάνω από 50 εκτενείς δημοσιεύσεις σε διεθνή περιοδικά καθώς και σε εθνικά και διεθνή συνέδρια. Έχει συμμετάσχει στις επιστημονικές επιτροπές διεθνών συνεδρίων. Διδάσκει στο μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα «Τεχνογλωσσία», στο πλαίσιο του οποίου έχει την επίβλεψη διπλωματικών εργασιών. Κατέχει Διπλ. Ευρεσιτεχνίας σχετικά με την ανάκτηση πολύγλωσσων κειμένων.
