Βιογραφικά στοιχεία

Ο Δρ. Σπύρος Ν. Ράπτης αποφοίτησε το 1994 από το Τμήμα Ηλ. Μηχ & Μηχ. Υπολ. του Εθνικού Μετσόβιου Πολυτεχνείου και το 2001 ολοκλήρωσε την διδακτορική του διατριβή με θέμα: "Υβριδικές Γενετικές, Ασαφείς και Νευρωνικές Τεχνικές στη Βελτιστοποίηση, τη Μοντελοποίηση και τη Λήψη Αποφάσεων". Από το 1996 μέχρι και σήμερα αποτελεί μέλος του Ινστιτούτου Επεξεργασίας του Λόγου / Ε.Κ. "Αθηνά" (ΙΕΛ / Ε.Κ. "Αθηνά") όπου σήμερα κατέχει τη θέση του Διευθυντή Ερευνών (Α’ Βαθμίδας) στο Τμήμα Τεχνολογίας Φωνής και Ήχου συντονίζοντας τις ερευνητικές και αναπτυξιακές δραστηριότητες της Ομάδας Σύνθεσης Φωνής.

Σε αυτό το πλαίσιο, έχει εμπλακεί ενεργά σε πολυάριθμα Εθνικά και Ευρωπαϊκά ερευνητικά έργα ως ερευνητής πλήρους απασχόλησης με διαχειριστικές, ερευνητικές και αναπτυξιακές αρμοδιότητες.

Ως μέλος του Εργαστηρίου Ρομποτικής και Αυτοματισμού του Ε.Μ.Π., συμμετείχε ενεργά στην διδακτική δραστηριότητα του Τμήματος και στη προετοιμασία διδακτικών βιβλίων ή/και σημειώσεων ενώ παράλληλα βοήθησε στην επίβλεψη φοιτητών σε ανεξάρτητες εργασίες και τελειοφοίτων σε δύο διπλωματικές εργασίες σε θέματα Ρομποτικής και Ελέγχου.

Τα έτη 2004-2005 διατέλεσε επιστημονικός συνεργάτης (ΠΔ. 407) στην σχολή Ναυπηγών Μηχανολόγων Μηχανικών του Ε.Μ.Π. όπου ανέλαβε την διδασκαλία του μαθήματος: «Έμπειρα Συστήματα στην Σχεδίαση και Λειτουργία Πλοίων» του 8ου εξαμήνου.

Στο πλαίσιο του Διεπιστημονικού Διατμηματικού Προγράμματος Μεταπτυχιακών Σπουδών (ΕΠΕΑΕΚ) "Γλωσσική Τεχνολογία (Τεχνογλωσσία)" το οποίο οργανώνεται από κοινού από τον Τομέα Γλωσσολογίας του Τμήματος Φιλολογίας του Εθνικού Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών και το Τμήμα Ηλ. Μηχ. & Μηχ. Υπολ. του Ε.Μ.Π., ανέλαβε την διδασκαλία των μεταπτυχιακών μαθημάτων "Μηχανισμοί παραγωγής φωνής και το φωνητικό σήμα στον Η/Υ - Παραγωγή συνθετικής φωνής" και "Υπολογιστική Νοημοσύνη: Ασαφής Λογική, Νευρωνικά Δίκτυα και Γενετικοί Αλγόριθμοι" σε μικτό ακροατήριο Μηχανικών και Γλωσσολόγων και την επιμέλεια του σχετικού συνοδευτικού εκπαιδευτικού υλικού.

Στο πλαίσιο του Διεπιστημονικού Διατμηματικού Προγράμματος Μεταπτυχιακών Σπουδών (ΕΠΕΑΕΚ) "Ψηφιακές Μορφές Τέχνης" το οποίο οργανώθηκε από κοινού από την Ανώτατη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών (ΑΣΚΤ) και το Τμήμα Ηλ. Μηχ. & Μηχ. Υπολ. του Ε.Μ.Π. επιτέλεσε χρέη Υπεύθυνου Εργαστηρίου και συμμετείχε στην προετοιμασία και διεξαγωγή των ασκήσεων του μαθήματος του Β' εξαμήνου "Ευφυή και Πολύπλοκα Συστήματα".

Επίσης, ο Δρ. Ράπτης έχει συμμετάσχει στην ομάδα ανάπτυξης ενός από τα πρώτα συστήματα σύνθεσης φωνής από κείμενο για την Ελληνική γλώσσα, του λογισμικού "ΕΚΦΩΝΗΤΗΣ", που διατίθεται από το ΙΕΛ / Ε.Κ. "Αθηνά".

Έχει συμμετάσχει στην συγγραφή πλέον των 40 επιστημονικών δημοσιεύσεων σε διεθνή περιοδικά, συνέδρια και βιβλία σε θέματα επεξεργασίας φωνής, υπολογιστικής νοημοσύνης και μουσικής τεχνολογίας.
