Βιογραφικά στοιχεία

Η Σ.-Ε. Φωτεινέα είναι σήμερα Ερευνήτρια B’ στο αντικείμενο «Τεχνολογίες Φωνής και Νοηματικής Γλώσσας για υποστήριξη ατόμων με αναπηρία», ενώ συνεργάζεται με το ΙΕΛ από το 1992. To 1999 της απενεμήθη Διδακτορικό Δίπλωμα Μηχανικού από το Τμήμα ΗΜΜΥ του Ε.Μ.Π., και το 1992 το Δίπλωμα Ηλεκτρολόγου Μηχανικού.

Έχει συμμετάσχει ως υπεύθυνη έργου ή/και συντονίστρια σε πολλά εθνικά και Ευρωπαϊκά έργα. Ενδεικτικά αναφέρονται: Εθνικό έργο ΔΙΑΝΟΗΜΑ (ΓΓΕΤ)-Οπτική Ανάλυση και Αναγνώριση Χειρονομιών και Εφαρμογή σε Τηλεχειρισμό Ρομπότ (υπεύθυνη), Ευρωπαϊκό έργο FAST (Marie-Curie) με αντικείμενο αποθορυβοποίηση σημάτων ομιλίας στο περιβάλλον ισχυρού θορύβου MR και ενσωμάτωση περιβάλλοντος αναγνώρισης ομιλίας στο jMRUI λογισμικό (υπεύθυνη), ERMIS (IST)-Emotion Rich Machine Interface System (υπεύθυνη). Ακόμα, εργάστηκε διαχειριστικά και επιστημονικά, ως αναπληρώτρια διαχειρίστρια, για το Ευρωπαϊκό Έργο DICTA-SIGN (FP7-ICT), με γενικό συντονιστή το ΙΕΛ, σε θέματα τεχνολογιών εικονικής σύνθεσης και αναγνώρισης Νοηματικών Γλωσσών, δημιουργία λεξιλογικών και πόρων σωμάτων βιντεοκειμένων, επισημείωση και εξαγωγή γλωσσικού μοντέλου και υπολογιστικής γραμματικής, αλλά και ως υπεύθυνη του έργου MOBOT-Intelligent Active MObility Assistance RoBOT integrating Multimodal Sensory Processing, Proactive Autonomy and Adaptive Interaction (FP7-ICT).

Συμμετέχει στο έργο COGNIMUSE (Αριστεία)-Πολυτροπική Επεξεργασία Σημάτων και Γεγονότων σε Αντίληψη και Νόηση με φορέα υποδοχής το ΕΜΠ/Καθ.Π.Μαραγκός και έχει συμμετάσχει σε ερευνητικά δίκτυα στις περιοχές ενδιαφέροντός της (ENABLE-Grundvig network of ICT supported Learning for Disabled People, COST action: IS1006 “Unraveling the grammars of European sign languages: pathways to full citizenship of deaf signers and to the protection of their linguistic heritage“, SLCN “Sign Linguistics Corpora Network”, GSRT network PERIKTIONI “Women and Science“, ΕΥΤΕΧΝΟΣ “Επιμόρφωση στις Υποστηρικτικές Τεχνολογίες Πληροφορικής και Τηλεπικοινωνιών για Άτοµα µε Αναπηρίες“).

Έχει ακόμα συμμετάσχει στο ΙΕΛ σε πολλά άλλα έργα με ερευνητικές και/ή διαχειριστικές αρμοδιότητες (Εθνικά έργα ΠΡΟΚΛΗΣΗ, ΣΥΝΕΝNΟΗΣΗ, ΕΥΦΩΝΟΝ ΔΙΑΛΟΓΟΣ, Ευρωπαϊκά έργα MUSTUTOR, EUROMAT/ SYSTRAN, κ.ά.), ενώ στο Ε.Μ.Π. διαχειρίστηκε τα Ευρωπαϊκά έργα TMR και HCM-Advanced Signal Processing for Medical Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy.

Έχει πλούσιο συγγραφικό έργο σε θέματα υποστηρικτικών τεχνολογιών που περιλαμβάνει συγγραφή βιβλίων, άρθρων, ανάπτυξη ηλεκτρονικών εκδόσεων και επιστημονική επιμέλεια συλλογών εξειδικευμένων άρθρων. Είναι κριτής εργασιών στα περιοδικά TCAS-1, IEE-VISP, UAIS και στις διοργανώσεις LREC, HCII, EACL, GW, ACL, SMIΑE. Έχει διδακτική εμπειρία στην Ψηφιακή Επεξεργασία Σημάτων και συμμετοχή σε σεμινάρια εκπαίδευσης ενηλίκων σε θέματα πληροφορικής και Υποστηρικτικών Τεχνολογικών.
