As part of its commitment to continuously reinforce its excellence and strengthen its capacities in language technologies, the Institute of Language and Speech Processing (ILSP – http://www.ilsp.gr/en) of the "Athena" Research and Innovation Center (http://www.athena-innovation.gr/en.html) announces a position for experience professional in the area of:

Technology Transfer and Innovation Management (ICT)

The position is opened in the context of the LangTERRA project (www.langterra.eu) which is co-funded by the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Union (Grant Agreement No. 285924 FP7-REGPOT-2011-1). LangTERRA represents ILSP’s strong commitment to continuously reinforcing its excellence and strengthening its capacities and potential to excel at a European level in language technologies and related fields.

The candidates are expected to have a strong background and experience in one or more of the indicative topics in the list below:

• Innovation Management, strategy and planning;
• ICT Technology Transfer through (indicatively) licensing, spin-off/out development, patenting etc;
• Technology Portfolio building for research orgnasiations and promotion;
• Legal issues in Technology Transfer; and
• innovation targeted funding

The selected experienced professionals will strengthen ILSP's capacity by working as part of the respective ILSP team and bringing additional experience and know-how in this field. They are also expected to engage into networking with prominent organizations and professionals throughout Europe, developing new collaborations and initiating funding and technical collaboration proposals.

The required qualifications are:

• at least five years of full-time equivalent recent experience in TT positions, preferably in research and innovation organizations;
• a strong best-practice profile with proven successful transfer activities and projects;
• a proven ability to grasp, discuss and present technological R&D results; and
• a full professional proficiency in English.

The recruited experienced professionals will be offered a contract with ILSP. The duration of the contract will be 5 months, and could be extended depending on the availability of the necessary resources. The monthly rate for the position will depend on the status, qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
